
Child Safety & Abuse Prevention Policy

At Always Best Nanny, the safety, well-being, and dignity of every child is our highest priority. We are dedicated to promoting a culture of vigilance, professionalism, and accountability in all caregiver placements. This Child Safety & Abuse Prevention Policy outlines the standards and safeguards we enforce to protect children from harm or abuse.

1. Our Commitment to Child Protection
Always Best Nanny commits to:

Prioritizing the physical, emotional, and psychological safety of children in all placements.

Carefully screening all caregivers through background checks, interviews, and reference verification.

Educating families and nannies about child abuse prevention and best practices.​
2. Definitions of Abuse
Child abuse can include, but is not limited to:

Physical Abuse: Hitting, shaking, slapping, or any form of physical harm.

Emotional Abuse: Verbal threats, humiliation, intimidation, or neglect of emotional needs.

Sexual Abuse: Any sexual activity with a child, including inappropriate touching or exposure.

Neglect: Failure to provide necessary care, supervision, or protection from danger.​
3. Caregiver Screening & Training
All caregivers placed by Always Best Nanny must:

Undergo comprehensive background checks, including criminal and sex offender registry searches;

Provide professional and personal references that are verified;
-
Sign and agree to our Code of Conduct and this Child Safety Policy;

Be informed of state and federal laws related to child abuse reporting and prevention;
-
Agree to mandatory reporting procedures if they suspect abuse in a household.​
4. Reporting Suspected Abuse
If any form of abuse is suspected:

Caregivers are required by law to report it to the appropriate child protective services or law enforcement.

Families, caregivers, or third parties may also report concerns directly to Always Best Nanny.

We will document the report and take appropriate action, which may include terminating the caregiver relationship and notifying authorities.

5. Family Responsibilities
We encourage all families to:

Provide a safe, respectful, and supportive home environment;

Monitor caregiver-child interactions regularly;

Communicate clearly and often with both the caregiver and our agency;

Report any safety concerns immediately to Always Best Nanny or the appropriate authorities.​
6. Zero Tolerance Policy
Always Best Nanny has zero tolerance for any form of abuse, neglect, or endangerment of children.
If credible evidence of abuse or neglect arises:

The caregiver's placement will be terminated immediately;

Relevant authorities will be contacted in accordance with Georgia state law;
-
The caregiver will be permanently disqualified from future placements through our agency.​
7. Confidentiality & Non-Retaliation
Reports of suspected abuse will be handled confidentially. No one making a good-faith report will face retaliation. We are committed to protecting the identity of the reporter and the dignity of all parties involved during an investigation.​
